University of Vienna and Medical University of Vienna extend successful collaboration with Max F. Perutz Laboratories
The University of Vienna and Medical University of Vienna are extending their successful collaboration with Max F. Perutz Laboratories. Rectors Heinz W. Engl from the University of Vienna and Markus Müller from MedUni Vienna signed an agreement to extend the Joint Venture until 2025.
MFPL group Leader Martin Leeb has been awarded a standalone grant by the FWF for his new project “Regulation of ES cell differentiation by NMD”. The grant will help the Leeb group’s effort to advance the understanding of the molecular underpinnings of early embryonic cell fate decisions via a process called differentiation.
Iva Lučić from the group of Thomas Leonard at the Max F. Perutz Laboratories (MPFL) at the Vienna BioCenter (VBC) won the VBC PhD Award 2017 with her thesis entitled “Role of membrane binding in the activation of Protein Kinase B (PKB) and Protein Kinase C (PKC)”.
